About Me

I first became interested in yoga as a tool to stay fit between sports seasons in high school. During college, my practice shifted from a form of exercise to a self-regulating tool, when I realized that a regular practice was easing my long-term back pain and helping me to better cope with stress.  I practiced various styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Yin, Integral, Vini-yoga, Hot and Power yoga all over the world.

I am 500 hour Certified Yoga Teacher. I received my 200 hour Teacher Certificate from Vinyasa Yoga School, in Rishikesh, India, in March of 2017. I completed my 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Certificate with Jason Crandell in San Francisco in the summer of 2019.

I draw inspiration from my teachers and experiences to offer flows that allow students to feel the breath-body-mind connection in each class. Yoga Poses are a tool that can be used to observe ones own thought patterns and internal dialogue.  Once I learned to recognize my own tendencies I was able to practice being less reactive. I learned how to be kinder to myself and others. I truly believe that a constant practice helps bring a state of mindfulness that every person and every community could benefit from

In addition to completing the 200 and 500 hour Yoga teacher trainings, I have also completed continuing education courses on

  • Anatomy with Jason Crandell

  •  Injury Prevention with Jason Crandell

  • Trauma Informed Yoga with Kath Meadows and Whitney Ingram

  • 300 hours of Advanced teacher training with Jason Crandell

  • Philosophy Session with J. Brown

  • Accessible Yoga Training with Amber Karnes

I combine all of this knowledge and experience  to create a series of classes that help you to reach your goals. Whether that be to become stronger, more flexible, to feel more comfortable in your body or learning breathing techniques that help you to down regulate and calm yourself in stressful moments. I teach public group classes as well as Private Lessons.  Each Private Lesson is highly individualized based on the student's needs in the present moment. Yoga is for EVERYONE, no one is too inflexible or out of shape. If you are considering a class but are having hesitations, just reach out to me and we can talk about the options to begin your yoga journey.
