About Me
I first became interested in yoga as a tool to stay fit between sports seasons in high school. During college, my practice shifted from a form of exercise to a self-regulating tool, when I realized that a regular practice was easing my long-term back pain and helping me to better cope with stress. I practiced various styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Yin, Integral, Vini-yoga, Hot and Power yoga all over the world.
I am 500 hour Certified Yoga Teacher. I received my 200 hour Teacher Certificate from Vinyasa Yoga School, in Rishikesh, India, in March of 2017. I completed my 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Certificate with Jason Crandell in San Francisco in the summer of 2019.
I draw inspiration from my teachers and experiences to offer flows that allow students to feel the breath-body-mind connection in each class. Yoga Poses are a tool that can be used to observe ones own thought patterns and internal dialogue. Once I learned to recognize my own tendencies I was able to practice being less reactive. I learned how to be kinder to myself and others. I truly believe that a constant practice helps bring a state of mindfulness that every person and every community could benefit from
In addition to completing the 200 and 500 hour Yoga teacher trainings, I have also completed continuing education courses on
